Corporate Sponsorship

Corporate Sponsorship Package

Camel City Elite provides a unique sponsorship opportunity here in Winston-Salem to be involved in a professional track and field meet that will feature multiple Olympians and other world-class athletes.  The sixth annual Camel City Elite will take place February 4, 2023 and is the third prong in Winston-Salem’s professional sports scene, along with the Winston-Salem Open and Winston-Salem Cycling Classic.  Camel City Elite has local, regional and national audiences.  The college portion of the meet typically features schools from NC, SC, VA, GA, TN, FL, etc.  With the professional fields assembled, Camel City Elite will get national media attention from Track and Field News, Runner’s World and LetsRun.com.

Starting as a single race in 2013, Camel City Elite has quickly become one of the premier indoor track and field events in the United States. In 2014, 2x Olympian and World Champs Silver Medalist Nick Symmonds competed at JDL Fast Track.

In 2015, we added 8 Olympians, including silver medalists Jason Richardson and Leo Manzano. They were joined by 2008 Olympic bronze medalist and 2013 World Champion David Oliver, as well as Olympians Morgan Uceny, Shannon Rowbury, Dwight Thomas, Bershawn Jackson and Geena Lara.

In 2016, the stakes were raised even higher as we featured Matthew Centrowitz, Ashton Eaton, Lolo Jones, Brianna Rollins and many others.  In total, over $60,000 in prize money and bonuses were awarded.

In 2017, the Camel City Track Foundation was initiated as part of the event to assist with fundraising.  The highlights of the meet included US Olympic silver medalist Paul Chelimo leading wire to wire in the men's 3k in 7:45 and Canadian Melissa Bishop (World Champs silver medalist) defending her title in the women's 800m.

In 2018, over $75,000 in prize money was awarded, as prize money was increased to $6000 for first place.  Edward Cheserek headlined the 2018 event and didn't disappoint.  He ran 3:53.85 to break the facility record set in 2016 by Matthew Centrowitz.  Paul Chelimo won the men's 3k and then came back to finish second in the mile with his first official sub-4 mile.  But Rachel Schneider walked away with the biggest payday after winning both the 3k and the mile with only about 40 minutes of rest between the two races.

2019 saw two flat track "world records" set when Ajee' Wilson ran 1:59.26 for the women's 800 meters, followed by Clayton Murphy's 1:45.92 for the same distance.  Although not "real" world records, these are the fastest times ever run at these distances on a 200 meter flat track.  This adds to the women's mile record set by Shannon Rowbury of 4:22.66 back in 2015, giving JDL Fast Track three such records.

For 2023, we will be contesting six races (men's and women's 800m, mile and 3k) and prize money is being increased in every race to the following breakdown:

1st place - $6,000

2nd place - $4,000

3rd place - $2,000

4th place - $1,000

5th place - $750

6th place - $500

7th place - $400

8th place - $300

Money raised for Camel City Elite will also be used to fund other events to promote the mission of the Camel City Track Foundation (camelcitytrackfoundation.com).  One goal for 2022 is to fund low cost track and field clinics in the summer for aspiring track athletes of all abilities.  This clinic will target youth who may not have the means to attend other sports camps in the area.
